COAST Guard Program

The Indian Coast Guard is a national organization responsible for various services at sea, especially protecting India's maritime interests and enforcing maritime law vast peninsular coastal area of Indian needs to be preserved protected and maintained properly for its continued prosperity.
Two major entrance exams held by the Indian coast Guard for Navik and Yantrik, in navik sailor serve either in the General Duty or Domestic branches of the Indian Coast Guard. In General Duty naviks work as sailors, weapons systems operators, communication specialists and divers. In the Domestic branch, naviks are hired as stewards, cooks, etc.
Naviks (General Duty) : In navik general duty person work as sailors, weapons systems operators, communication specialists and divers.
Eligibility criteria:
Age Limit - Age as on 1st July of the year of recruitment: 18-22 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)
Educational Qualification - 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% marks in Math’s and Physics
Physical Standard - Height 157cm,Weight Proportionate to Height; 1.6 km run in 7 minutes; 20 squats; 10 pushups
Naviks (Domestic)
In Domestic branch, naviks are hired as stewards, cooks, etc.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification - 10 from a recognized board with 50% marks
Physical Standard - Height 157 cm. Weight Proportionate to Height; normal hearing ability; no physical disability; no cardiovascular diseases; 1.6 km run in 7 minutes; 20 squats; 10 pushups

Coast Guard Yantrik Program
Indian Coast Guard which works under ministry of defence has released the notification regarding to the yantrik post for the diploma holder candidates ( Only for Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering)
It is great opportunity for the diploma holder male candidates who willing to join Indian Coast Guard and having all eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria:
Qualification: Candidates should pass Matriculation or equivalent examination and have done diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by AICTE (with Minimum 60% Aggregate).
5% relaxation will be provided for the reserved category candidates.
Candidate’s belongings to SC/ST.
Outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd and 3rd position at the open National and International Championship.
Wards of coast Guard Personnel who deceased while in service & in uniform.
Age: the age of candidates should lie between 18 years to 22 years. (Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates)
Minimum Height – 157 Chest Minimum Expansions – 5 cm
Written Test
The written test will be objective which contains the question regarding to the subject as follows:
Questions from their respective branch (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication).
General knowledge.
Reasoning.
Aptitude
English.

COURSE DURATION : 1 year ,minimum duration 3 months
